Vibrant jazz scene in Istanbul

NARDIS jazz club in Istanbul

A young generation of jazz players is conquering Istanbul. It is amazing how many new, little clubs have been started last year.

There is a lot of enthusiasm and a new crowd of Istanbul music lovers who discover jazz. The new generation of jazz players are willing to perform for little money because they are so eager to play their music. American modern jazz, but also Turkish jazz with Arabesque or Anatolian riffs.

I am lucky to live in a city where the jazz scene is still growing and revitalizing itself.

I am looking forward to the International Jazz Festival in Istanbul from July 1 till July 18.
