I loved the atmosphere and the music last night in the hidden garden at the Consulate-General of the Netherlands that was open for all jazz lovers.
A lot of people joined the Netherland based band Lilian Viera & Grupo Cariopa as part of the Tünel Feast from 7:30 pm. Like me they were enjoying the music and dancing on the tunes of the samba.
Samba and choro, which has its origins in Rio de Janeiro, filled the air. Singer Lilian Vieira and her Grupa Cariopa brought to life the atmosphere of the samba with their cheerful, melancholic and light-hearted music.
Along with Vieura, the octet also had Fulvia di Dominic and Nassan Lopes on vocals.
Traditional Brazilian instruments and brass instruments such as saxophone and clarinet, as well as percussions came wonderful together to create an authentic sound. We all loved it!
